River Gardens provides life skills education through programs and curriculum. The programs and curriculum can be used in various settings such as high schools, community programs, churches, homeschooling environments, and detention centers. Parents can also purchase these programs and work independently with their children.
EBLS is a 10 module Life Skills Curriculum that can be completed independently or through a program. EBLS was designed to teach youth “essential", but basic life skills needed in everyday life and relevant to today’s world. Having life skills are important in all areas of your life – home, school, work, etc. Students can choose individual modules to complete, or complete all 10. Modules range from 1 week to 5 weeks. Life skills can be defined as, “a skill that is necessary or desired for full participation in everyday life, or “skills necessary to deal effectively with the demands and challenges of life.”
An inclusive mentor program focused on career planning & exploration. Participants can complete the program with a mentor, career counselor or on their own-at their own pace. Program covers the Career Planning Process, Personal Development and habits that lead to success, Stress Management, Leadership and Financial Literacy and the basics of Entrepreneurship. Explore careers & higher education options. Explore opportunities to gain valuable experiences (programs, internships, volunteering, service learning, and dual enrollment). Complete a job application, resume, cover letter, job search, mock interview, and a 5-Year Plan. Includes Certificate of Completion. Recommended : Career Portfolio
